trialsmax04
as the title really. Just interested as my current hubs are fecked, and my forks dont have a bolt through axel. So would a sealed bearing trials hub stand up to girly free ride? Not talking fancy, just cheap and strong. Max
Muel
I'd say not, trials hubs use little lightweight axles and bearings. Just compare a front Pro2 hub to a ZHI one. If you got a second hand Pro2 though, that'd do.
trialsmax04
hmm yea i spose. I was just thinking that dropping off a 6ft wall on a trials bike, isnt going to be much different to doing a ladder drop with susp?
Krisboats
I use a rear pro 2 trials on my dirt/downhill bike and although admittedly i haven't gotten round to doing anything extensive on it being the fair weather rider i am i have absolutely no lack of faith in it's ability to survive everything i throw at it. If it was a super duper sub 1g hub for the front with every possible little bit drilled out i'd be reluctant to use it but if it looks pretty decent i'd say go with it. It'll either die quite pathetically from repeated stress or you'll f**k up and kill it in one go, which would make it likely whatever part you use is likely to break. trialsmax04
i see what your saying. I think really i would just get pro 2s if i ever get round to it. There not to expensive on ebay, and there tried and tested at the end of the day. Max
NVWOCI WVS
Try and get hold of an old Hope XC. I've picked a couple of front ones up for a fiver each on the forum. They'll handle free ride, and are actually 100% awesome.

Ali C
I have got trialtech hubs on my bike and I have been blasting drops spins and so on, I would trust them more than most hubs out there.
