New Cranks Keep Coming Loose.

Im using echo sl cnc cranks with a bash ring, I didn’t put the spacer on as instructed. Also it’s not the threads they are fine.

Is there a reason they are coming loose after about 20mins riding? Its the crank without the bash ring on that’s coming loose more often if this helps, but the other is still doing it only more slowly and less frequently.

If you need pics just let me know.

Cheers

did you torque them up properly and grease the splines?

I put mine on a year and a half ago and they've never felt loose since then

Yep did all of that

  • Are the tapers buggered? nope
  • Threads knackered on BB or bolt? nope its all new
  • Washer not seating properly on the BB? should think so, but will check
  • Bolt not seating properly on the crank? yep this is fine
  • Bolt bottoming out on the BB axle? nope checked lengths

All new cranks should be expected to come loose. You just need to keep an eye on them, tighten them every 15 mins and they'll soon stop being annoying.

Thats what I was hoping for, thanks!
