Onza T Lite

I have been looking at a Onza T Lite on ebay and i'm considering bidding on it. I was just wondering what they are like to ride? Roughly how heavy are they? And how easily do they break / crack?

I've never really been a grammar nazi but i'm sorry, I couldn't let this many mistakes slide :P

In return to your question, they look like fairly solid bikes. The one on ebay seems to be just a bit over priced at £250 and also seems to be missing a booster (Those frames do not come with a built in booster so I can imagine they'd flex quite a lot).

Another thing is that the seller doesn't list an exhaustive list of parts so it could be a fairly basic build.

Heres the link for anyone wanting to take a quick look.

They're old, outdated things, particularly weak, not particularly light, not very compact, and some terrible build issues.

My brother has one in the garage, the 4 bolt mounts are welded on at least 10mm too high, and I've heard loads of people have the same issue. I've got round it on this one by making a tensioner which allows the wheel to sit in the right place for the brake to work.

I wouldn't recommend it, they're OK to work on but you'd be much better off with a T-Pro, if you ask me it's a far better frame. (I built the T-LIte and the T-Pro with the same bits and the stem in the same place aswell, so I could compare).

EDIT: That particular one will be horrid to ride, they need short forks to be any good like Echo Lites. My brother's came with some Onza shite things on that were way too long, it was transformed when we put a set of Lites on it.

EDIT: It also has no booster, and apart from my Kot MS2 it's the flexiest frame I've ever ridden, they really need a 4 bolt booster or it's just a nasty experience.

i completely disagree. the frames are birlliant . there lite there solid . yes youd be better of with a 4 bolt booster but there are no problems with the mounts.stays are real short so its brill on the back wheel but yes £250 sound alright. i bought myne for £200 but it was completely borken. you can buy my frame cheep as i upgraded to a monty. pm me if intrested

They're 1.6kg, not particularly light, and they definately are not solid at all, they're probably one of the weakest frames around. I knew one guy who put (I think) 5 cracks in one, and he didn't ride that harsh at all.

No problem with the mounts? Have a search dude, there have been topics. There was no problem with the long version, just the short version.
