Sethgun
So the original plan was to go for either a new limey3, yaabaa 1499 or ozonys cannibal3, but now im thinking a because 24" trials frame. Im coming from having my inspired which was waaaay too much fun, but wanna go back to a bit more tgs style stuff but still street. As much as a 26" is still appealing, the idea of a trialsy geo 24" seems pretty good too, as ive still got alot of parts to use from my old stock and inspired (trialtrech risers and diety 2.5" risers to experiment with, 90mm hope and 110mm trialtech stems, t/tech forks etc, 2nd set of hope hubs i havent sold...). Just after some general feedback as to how people found they ride and what they ride similar to etc. id imagine the high bb would make it feel like a bit of a mod on the rear weel? any feedback would b great, cheers
Mark W
I really wanted to get one when they first came out, we built one up here and it felt pretty nice just nibbling about on. If you're going from an Inspired to the Because it'd be a pretty straightforward switch too in that you could literally just swap all your parts over (Apart from the seat, post and clamp ). If you look for a member called 'pbtrials' on here, he's got a video out riding his. Seems to be pretty handy on it, so I'd say they've definitely got potential

Thats whats pretty appealing to me is that all my 24" parts i can transfer over, ive sold my rims and hubs but ive still got another set of hope front and rear hubs to use on it, but id def go from my current 24-17 gear to 18-15 for the sake of better clearance, that middleburn bash is pretty chunky. Seems like a really sweet frame I mean dont get me wrong, if I had more money the inspired would still be here and id have another bike, but the geo of the because as a 24" seems soooooo appealing. How did you find it on the rear compared to the inspired? Im just wanting to do alot more static moves than rolling street stuff i was doing on the inspired..... Mark W
The one we built had a relatively long/high stem compared to the one on my Echo 24 (Very similar geo to the Inspired), and the Because definitely felt more 'trials' as a result of it. Sethgun
are those black frames a matte black or gloss black paint? Some of the pics look like its a matte finish....im guessing the white is gloss white, not matte?
Mark W
Yes indeedy - matte (well, satin) black with gloss stickers, and gloss white with gloss stickers.
Sethgun
i think im narrowing it down now to a because trials or a yaabaa 1499 lol. So its either stock or 24" What im after is the one thats gonna be the most stable and easy on the rear wheel, I really wanna get to more tgs stuff after being on the inspired for so long, and I didnt spend any time really doing sidehops etc on it.....thats what im mainly after now. Which do u think is gonna be more stable on the rear?
Sethgun
heres what im contemplating for the build: because trials my trialtech stem and either my trialtech risers or diety 2.5" (ill experiment my mono trial team front disc braided my 33 rear braided w my echo sl clamps and my trialtech carbon booster my hope team headset and my trialtech forks get rid of my middleburn pro trials setup so i can run an echo 108.9 ffw, trialtech cranks, inspired twin alloy bash, my inspired pedals front trialtech disc hub and 24" trialtech rim, rear trialtech fixed hub with 15t screw on and 24" echo tr 44mm rear rim More I think about it the more im liking the idea. Really liking the idea of going shorter chainstays but still sticking with a 24 with nice geo, just wouldnt mind hearing a bit more feedback from people who ride it
MikeCottTrials
Obviously having never been on one I can't say for sure but I would definitely go for the because. Flicky, smaller bikes are miles more enjoyable to ride. Looking at the geo I'm guessing it will sit on back wheel fairly nicely as well
Mark W
I think it'd be worth a punt on the Because with that sort of spec. They seem like nice frames, and that's a really good spec so it should compliment it well.
Sethgun
yeh i think it would be a nice setup and as much as i loved my pro2 on the inspired, i think i really need something with more engagements. Thats 1 thing i realised whenever id pedal up or just popping onto the rear wheel, i hated that tiny bit of play i had before engaging
