Riley1
Morning, I'm thinking of getting an Echo hydrolic rim brake and was keen to see what people's thoughts are and if you would recommend them over Magura's? http://www.tartybikes.co.uk/product.php?product_id=10602&category_id=72 Cheers Tom
jambo
Cant go wrong with a good old magura dude. easy to setup, bleed and you can get loads of different spare parts if it breaks. Magura with the 4 finger lever

LEON
Maguras must be 15-20 years old now, proven, few to no problems. I've only ever felt 1 echo brake & it felt like absolute shite, then again it was set up by a teenager If it ain't broke don't fix it. Mikey-uk
I've used a friends echo and to be honest It feels fine. Ali C has even commented before saying that they work fine although some need cleaning prio to first use.
shetlandtrialsrider
I would say echo all the way. I have seen 3 magura lever bodys snap without putting much pressure on them at all. I have had echos for a while now and they are strong and just as good braking power.
luke2405
I use an Echo Tr rim brake and have found it really good, the tpa has better adjustment the slave cylinders are smaller and the hose far more flexible and i prefer the feel of the lever. I would defiantly go for another echo if it were my choice.
MikeCottTrials
I've seen two echo brakes, both had many many setup and running problems. However Magura's are reliable and proven.
