dErZ
Im going to get a set of shin guards and can only really see 2 options the try all shinguards( http://tartybikes.co.uk/product.php?product_id=10438&category_id=119 ) or 661 veggie shinguards( http://www.chainreactioncycles.com/Models.aspx?ModelID=30895 ). Can people please postage the views on both e.g. comfort, fit, easy of use, overheating issues etc.... Are there any other guards I should look at? super
MAN UP A couple of good shin digs and you'll have no feeling in your shins so it won't hurt anymore. Shin pads are restrictive-don't do it.
Brisa
Shin pads are not restrictive, man up in that regard! I have busted my shins to shit over the years and recently got myself some 661's. They're not the most breathable things ever but they do thier job and I can't say I even notice them when they're on.
Rusevelt
If you can get hold of the old 2005-07 661 shin&knee combo guards (try your local Halfords store) instead, they do the job just fine. Protection, mobility, breathable

Protection, mobility, breathable +1 to that, I used to use some. If I can find them I'll use them again

Rob L
The Try all ones are good ded comfy and not restrictive at all. mine have lasted about 10 or 11 months now and after riding a few hours everday are on the way out, well worth the money though! Alex Dark
MAN UP A couple of good shin digs and you'll have no feeling in your shins so it won't hurt anymore. Shin pads are restrictive-don't do it. I agree.... barely any one uses them, and unless you're super sketchy there's really no need
