Bb Problem

Recommended Posts

just fitted my new bb :)

i put it in correctly, i think :giggle: ( put the non-drive side in first then the drive side after)

every thing was fine but the non-drive side looked like it could do with being a bit further in, so i screwed the drive side out abit and screw the non-drive side in abit

and now when i screw the drive side in it wont budge? :(

is it cross threaded or should i force it in?

it was brand new so the thread locker might of set which is making it dificult.. but i dont want to force it and breake the bb or the frame ;)

what should i do?

thanks for youre help, allways appreciated :D

if its a square taper bb then the driveside (i think its the driveside, the one side with the flange on) then that flange just goes tight upto the frame and then the other side just tightens too the bb, if its an isis then it'l be flanged on both sides, just do the driveside tight to the frame and if the non driveside is sticking past when its tight then it needs a spacer too fit.

yh i no that now lol

but i cant get the driveside back in

its stuck half way and wont screw in any further

i can still see 4 threads sad.gif

because the bb is locking out on the other cup ?? put the driveside in all the way first then tighten up the otherside
