Toby
so today at clacton was doing an up gap to a slanted downward rock, so i had to plant the front wheel right down, front missed and frame took full force and for some reason moved my protection out the way and this is what happened to the frame: so i think its time for a new frame had this one for almost a year and was still going strong oh well saying that the rear end was just too flexy Edited March 6, 2010 by Toby

Muel
I'd get that welded if it was me, maybe you can get at the other side through the BB shell and push the dent out as best you can?
Laurence--Trials
Is it Dent + crack or just dent?
Toby
Dent/crack caused at the same time, other wise rest of the downtube was in perfect condition, im not going to bugger about with getting it welded, new rockman frame on order already and i was unhappy with the rear end flex of the bike meaning i had to set up the brake in a particular way to stop the brake rubbing when putting power down, but other than that its been a great frame lasted alot longer than i exspected and would of lasted longer if not for this accident Edited March 6, 2010 by Toby

A £20 weld job and a bit of effort sucking/pushing that dent out and the frame will be right as rain, whereas at the moment it's unridable... Well as i said i wasnt happy with the flexyness of the bike which was affecting the rear brake anyway, I had been considering a new frame due to this problem

Still be weak as buggery if not heat treated...although still worth doing I guess
Jake Beach
This shows how much cheese Koxx use in their frames. Unlicky though, wouldnt really expect a £800 frame to do that though.
N.Wood
This shows how much cheese Koxx use in their frames. Unlicky though, wouldnt really expect a £800 frame to do that though. Why not? Twatting a weld against a rock on a super light top of the range comp frame isn't gonna end well. Thats like saying 'this F1 car costs millions, cant believe it fell to bits after I crashed into a wall'

TOBY-E
it shouldnt tear away like that, very poor welding. tubing looks very thin too.
Leistonbmx
It was bashed on a rock. It's a weak material. So I fail to see how it's bad welding.
