martin555
Right Im looking at getting a new bike and I’ve pretty much narrowed it down to three choices. Im thinking either a short double disk Hydrox, a double disc Echo Lite or a Rockman Manus. I’m most inclined to go for the Hydrox. Was just wondering what people thought? martin555
I was already pretty set on getting a koxx, but I was just wanted to see there wasn’t some thing Id over looked. As far as I’m aware they are pretty much unrivalled on build quality.
Duncy H
To me it depends on what exactly you call "new", as in new to you or brand new from a shop. Any of them frames would ride good with the right components really so it too depends on the build you have in mind. And what type of riding you are most likely to get involved in? Personally I would go for the manus, I have been very impressed by my aurem since i got it and they seem very popular and have made a lot of people happy since they have bought themselves one. The geo of them is also very good, i used to ride a short xtp2 with the same geo and found it awesome.
martin555
sorry prehaps didnt make that very clear. When I said new I meant as in brand new from a shop. Edited March 1, 2010 by martin555
Duncy H
In that case then it now depends on your budget and what you want from your bike, e.g lighweight, comp style, street style, strength etc?

Sorry about that but it is important that you are advised to get the right bike for you rather than someone just saying get one of these cause my mate has it and it's really strong. Judging on what you have said, I think one of the speedrace fans bikes seems to suit what you are looking for, get it with a nice spec and you will be onto a winner. If you don't like them I would advise you get the hydroxx out of your three choices.

trialsrider.chris
in my opinoin you should go for the rockman manus . ive rode one and they feel really nice to ride .
Cahill Trials Kid
Koxx or Manus With the koxx i no that alot of people say try-all stuff isnt the strongest, had a little go on the Manus and it seemed really nice, but in my opinion to many people have them now. I would also be tempted by the rockman akali, but thats not DD, And if you dont mind pushing the budget a little bit the speedrace fans looks minttt ! Savage
Get the Rockman Manus, you wont be disappointed. My friend cracked his Hydroxx after about 5 months. Ben.
Mark W
Is that friend in question a certain Mr. Oliver? Do sorta agree with Ben though - the Manus's's's''s are nice. Having said that though, with the money you save on the frame, the Echo Lite build option might be good. You'll basically have an extra £200 or so to spend on bits for it which means you could upgrade the other components on it pretty well. They still feel pretty nice to ride too, like the geometry on them personally
