philth
Think I will be looking into purchasing one of these, bike bags are just too big for smaller framed bikes.

psycholist
His disks and paintwork will be f**kered by the time that gets through airline baggage handling - remove disk rotors and pad between the metal parts (And for that bike cover the chainring so it doesn't cut the bag - not a problem with a trials bike) and you're on to a winner... philth
an even better with less hassle option... I have had plenty of issues with boxes....I hate travelling with them. A big flat object, the throwers at the airport love to stack as much stuff on there as possible. + a wheeled bag with a handle is a lot easier to transport and move around, for connections, trains and taxis. Most hotels hate bikes, wheeling a golf bag through a hotel lobby, rather than dragging a box = less hassle The new luggage allowance for flying is first item is free the second you pay for. I'd need to check new regulations for the monster bag. I traveled with my bike just before christmas and got charge an extra $200 for having a bike in a box. The box was within the dimensions of normal baggage, but as it was a obviously a bike in a box it was extra.

Bags offer no protection what so ever. My bike went through two planes in a box and it was fine.

John Shrewsbury
Wen us boys went to barcelona 3 wks ago we had bike bags and raped cardboard around are bikes and stuff first then put them in bag. You mite want to get braces for the rear end and fork, there little long plastic things that go inbertween your chainstays and forks so they dont bend on travel.
