Theo
Hi there. A while ago I won a pretty cool competition, to cut a long story short I designed one of the next 50 pence’s. Here's the design. I sent a trials biking design in too, but they clearly didnt like that one as much Im wearing the biking kit because I did some photos fro the press on my mountain bike before this I had to attempt trials with massive metal bits on my shoes>_<. Anyway, the school got 10g's and I got 50p, well a gold one... I have a choice in where the money is spent and the idea is to give some to some of my local cycling, so I went to speak to Blazing Saddles in Hebden today to see if it would be possible to build a trials bit in hebden bridge park. They thought it was a good idea and now the plan is to get in touch with people. So, so far so good If Ali sees this it would be cool to get some ideas, I think he helped at lee quarry. Thanks Theo. Ps, Some should go to pedal sport too, but they never turned up to the presentation of my prizes even though they said they would, also blazing saddles are so much nicer, the press said that pedal sport did go which was a load of bull, that pissed me off, also they called my trials bike a bmx Some has to go to my school too, so im not sure how much is available yet but im going to try to make it a good amount

Barrow Farm Mick
Well done, I have had some Experience in the building of a trials area. I made good contacts in my local Council, they can and will help if you put it right. (youth project / obese kids / less ASB / more Kids into sport) and all with an Election on the way. The things Trials guys like to ride on are rubbish to most, so go and ask, but transport is costly try to get a hauler on side with good rates. Make your cash go as far as pos. Good luck Mick

register
Congrats on the winning design dude! It looks cool. It must be cool to have your say in how the money's spent, and a trial park is an awesome idea. It's also cool that they're willing to do that, and not just build a library or a 'regional boredom for youth centre' or something. Good stuff mate. Revolver
A trials park would be great! Personally, I'd build it a bit further south though.

Mat Smith!!
Blazing saddles are pathetic, they will make the worst trials part in britain, theres like 2 sorted people in there and the rest of them know next to nothing about trials, i went in and asked for a magura olive and they had no idea what one was, i dont see why blazing saddles has to make the trials park, why cant we just give ideas to the council? i dont think its anything to do with blazing saddles what/if anything happens with this trials park. They are great when it comes to mountain biking and stuff. The shop have given me contacts, thats all. They arnet actually making the park. The council and other trials dudes like ali will hopefully end up all helping. I am already in the process of trying to get in touch with the council bike guy. Thanks for the advice anyway Theo
Mat Smith!!
Maguras are also used in xc, but they stil didnt know what a magura olive was, olives are used in pretty much every hydrolic disk brake also, aslong as they arnt making it im not botherd, as i said, there are like 2 people in there who are nice people and dont treat u like shit, but all the others think they are know it all bikers, which there not to be honest.
