thompo
Any one on here take photos of Trials or bikes in General? Interested in seeing what lighting setups people use etc. Was out with a few guys of here on Saturday in Belfast and got some good shots. Struggled a lot though with getting enough ambient light in to keep things looking natural. #Edit found some of the shots http://www.trials-forum.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=148582 Neil Edited February 24, 2010 by thompo

Peter Wright
I use my Sony HVL56AM Flash gun ether off or on the camera. Off i find i can get some good shadowing or iluminations of rider, bike or objects etc! ISO is whats going to help make the image lighter or darker, im shotting a lot with an ISO100 currently as it's giving me a nice texture

Mark W
Usually use a Nikon SB-28 and two Sigma EF-500DG Super flashes, triggered with Pocketwizards. Use 30D body and whatever lens I need for the occasion Got some photos up on Flickr, although they're pretty old...

Mark W
If you're not shooting film, changing ISO alone's not going to alter 'texture' of stuff too much...

Im struggling a bit with not having the off camera rear curtain sync when shooting at night. Usually shoot with 1dii or 40d and 2x550ex's (usually have both off camera so cant use the wireless function ) Settings for the shots i first posted were F4 @ ISO800 & 1/10-1/15 (to burn in some ambient) flashes were down around 1/8-1/

thompo
Oops i think i need glasses! Can you get rear sync with your PW's? been holding off from buying them and just using 301 triggers at the min. Limited functions but havent let me down yet. Id say the PW's would be worth it for the extra functions. This guy really should be validated by now. Thanks for the vote of confidence
