walker
What is the weight of a new pair of Try-all shoes? I've had them for a number of years now and have eventually got fed up with their pathetic durability. So I'm looking for some sort of alternative. I'm not going to go down the Ribo route, as I dont think they're much better, but I am curious to know what sort of weight have I had hanging of my feet for the last few years (5+ years!). Unfortunately I dont have any means of weighing the ones I currently have, and they've about dropped to bits anyway! Thanks, Andy
Revolver
If you don't mind about weight so much, I recommend the shimano AM40 shoe, for sale here at CRC. It's fairly stiff, but I can honestly say it sticks to the pedal like nothing else. It transforms the grip, even on old pedals that are missing pins. walker
They're a bit stiff for me to be honest mate. I was looking at an approach shoe or something more along those lines
crispyboy
I would recommend the new Ribo lite shoes very light and comfortable. All the trials shoes out there have the same grippy bottom its made by the same company.

craigjames
Myself and Joe Seddon use Salomon Cross Speed 2 xc running shoes, cut the nobbles down where your pedal sits and they're spot on. Plenty of support, nicely cushioned soles, good levels of grip and the added bonus of actually being able to walk in muddy, wet horrible ground without falling over. The don't use laces, just a nylon draw string to tighten and the're semi-waterproof with the upper drying out very quickly. Not cheap, but then riding shoes aren't, oh and they're very light. Andrew C
I would recommend the new Ribo lite shoes very light and comfortable. All the trials shoes out there have the same grippy bottom its made by the same company. Yes best shoes ever got them myself at christmas. I reckon they would grip nicely to pinless pedal. Only thing is dont expect them to grip to wet floors or you'll be on your ass as i found out the hard way
