hi all i have not tryed this yet, however my friend has.

he was trying to get smoother and had no way of doing it so i told him to have a really low psi in his tyres and do all his normal gaps and drop ect and try not to rim out. So he done that for about 2 weeks and gapped and droped over and over again now he is realy smooth and back on his normal psi .

so it may not work for all of you but it did him so just give it a try one day and see what happends.

hope it helps

I would have to say - go with the opposite....

pump your tyres up to the max and make your brakes as harsh as possible and then try and ride smooth...

I think most people go with - trying not to break stuff - which usually amounts to the same.

disc brakes make your riding look smoother. it never hurts to ride with a more delicate style it'll help your parts last longer :)

The basis of being 'smooth' is just having good technique though, so if you want to be smoother get your technique dialled on smaller stuff, then move on to bigger stuff. You're generally going to be harsher on the bigger stuff you do, which is pretty natural, but a lot of people seem to rush through the basics and just try and do bigger and bigger TGSy stuff which is when people start getting fully bashery. If you want to get smoother, get your technique right basically.
