TROYston
Probably a snapped spring. Remove the driver and take a look.
jordan allsop
I have had this problem before you need to take the profile a part and make such they is no snapped spring or pawl and if they is repalce them. Also you may need greas some part that need Greaseing but make such you don't put to much grease on as this will make your profile not as loud. also make such the lockring is tight because if you don't your driver will fall of. And the last thing it could be is the profile Hub Shell it sound like it need a Service i hope it work for you.

And the last thing it could be is the profile Hub Shell it sound like it need a Service i hope it work for you. 1) Unless they've changed the design drastically since I last had one, I think you'll find that the lockring has nothing to do with the driver 'staying in' The lockring is what clamps the sprocket to the driver and stops it from coming undone. The driver can be removed by simply taking the wheel out of the frame, undo the bolts and remove washers/spacers, then simply pull it out. Rotating the driver at the same time may help 'unbind' the ratchets from the teeth. Dont need to worry about anything falling out, it shouldn't and if it does its because something is broken, not because of something you did whilst trying to take it apart (hopefully) 2) How do you service a shell - A hollow piece of metal? If you mean the ratchet ring, again how? Theres not much you can do to it except brush its teeth with a toothbrush and check for wear Do a search on this, I put up a lengthy fool proof guide to how to do it Here
Dan6061
Your bearings have probably had it. All you can really do is take it apart and have a look inside!

AlexxRogers
Joe, its because it had an Echo CNC driver in it, it mashed up all the teeth and the shell, best bet is to get a new shell. LukasMcNeal
Don't use grease or it will skip, use lube or 3 in 1 oil.
