nickdonboy
Topic kinda directed to the Tarty staff on here, what grinding discs do you use for a medium sharp grind? Or what grinding disc/grind would be most suitable for TNN Lgms? I recently got a back wheel off my mate - swapped, and it had a tarty grind he previously got a few months ago. It was in need for a fresh grind sooner than later but it still worked ace with TNNs. I gave my rim a fresh grind with a stone cutting disc, attempting to give it a medium sharp grind. It's good but thought it would be a bit better. The bite is ace, it sounds kinda like Stan Shaw's brake where he's riding that quarry in the rain. A loud high pitched sharp squeak. It's just lacking the hold. Or I might just being paranoid about the whole situation aha. help.
Leistonbmx
IThe harshness of the grind depends on the angle the grinder is held at to the rim. I have cold hands so cba to type loads right now.

Mark W
http://tartybikes.co.uk/media.php?group=guides&id=2 Practise will get you sorted on it, basically. I wouldn't really agree with how Le's doing his grinding in that video (if it's the video I have a feeling it is). Another good tip is to do it with your tyre on, if you aren't already. ogre
i prefer stone cutting or metal grinding discs, i've taken nicks out of my rim i could have done without loosing from being careless with the tool with a metal cutting disc
