Ben John-Hynes
Don't do it. Brake spray is shit. Use coke, works better than tar, but doesn't last as long.
N.Wood
f**k me its like 2002 again... 'try brake spray/spray mount/coke/tar/wax/furniture polish' Anyways... No tar won't do your disk any good at all, and for the rar you should get a grind on.
stunt man t
Superglue works amazing holds so well! or araldite
matthew_coggan
I only use tar now and again when my grind on my rim has worn away, as the more you grind your rim the thinner it gets, I dont have the money to be buying a new Rim all the time so for me tar is a good cheaper solution. shamus
Depending on use/aggressiveness of the grind, they last a few weeks/months (check the wiki for details of how) The echo rim i own has recieved had three medium grinds in its nearly 2 year life, (i am light so brake isn't working too hard) but its not got any significant change in thickness. Ignore all the additive crap, its no better for the bike then it is for your body, but good pads and a light grind=win! anzo
BRING BACK THE OLD VALIDATION SYSTEM. If we're going to start devalidating members for lack of knowledge, most of the forum would be in there. Silly question maybe, but at least it was written in a way you could understand it.
