liam-pantera
hi everyone , just recently my magura hs33 04 has become quite slow so i decided to remove the piston and oil bleed but on inspection of my piston it has two wear lines that are parallel to each other , now ive seen this before on some old hs33 05 brakes that ive taken to bits and repaired but is this the cause of a slow piston ? I have been looking on tartybikes and the pistons are available for £8 which might solve the problem or is it to do with the way the piston has been machined and polished ? can anybody shed some light before i spend some money . any help appreciated
Alex Dark
They seem to be like that anyway, I've never had any problems with ones that are grooved. Should be fine
smelly joe
had a slow piston in one a while back, took it out and changed it but did not really make a lot of difference what so ever! what is it bled with? could have something to do with the degrading of the o-ring on the piston. Ross McArthur
I too had a sluggish feeling lever, so I ordered a new lever piston, (master cylinder piston?) Im currently degreasing everything and getting it ready to be regreased and fitted with the new spring and seal'age. My question is, can the pistons in the slaves be removed/replaced? Sorry to hyjack the thread...
