Ben John-Hynes
Haha, nope. Was a rohloff. As, without question, they're the best out there!
davey1991
Haha, nope. Was a rohloff. As, without question, they're the best out there! Well of course they're the best, if you like boys.
craigjames
Granted the Rohloff is probably the best tensioner you can buy new. But i still think if you can get a 74kingz spend a few quid and 5 minutes on a steel ruler spring you'll get a better tensioner. Decent, consistent tension, out of the way, doesn't mount on the mech hanger. Sorted.
davey1991
The Roholff is designed for the Roholff hub though. Which i also don't like.
pogo
Real men bodge shimano 105 or ultegra mechs to accomodate wide boy chains, cheap, cheerful and rough as josh's girlfriends.

joshlyd1
Hang on im new to this stock milarky , what do you mean about having wider chains ? do they not fit roholoff ? i would like to run a KHE collapse chain will the roholoff be alright on a Chris King? Thanks
bikeperson45
Rohloff. They are the best. Just landed on mine a couple of days ago (I was never gonna make the sidehop) and is completly fine. Didn't bend, didn't go weird and barely even scratched

Thanks They need spacing out to take a wider chain. If you want one that's already spaced, ive got a vgc one which'll be surplus to requirements in a week or two And yeah it'll be fine. Luke Rainbird
Rohloffs are excellent bits of kit, though provided you don't need the extra tension for a looooong chain I'd take a 74kingz with steel rule 'spring' every time - simpler, more out of the way and lighter too if that's your thing
