matt tomlinson
i would post this in the real forum, but i am not aloud to yet. so since this is a trials forum in the u.k and the olympic games are coming to london in 2012 i think you guys as riders should really push for trials to be part of itinerary for the next games. i am sure you guys would love to be the first country to host trials in the games. if anyone else thinks this is a cool idea start working on it. i think london is our best push as trials riders to get accepted into the games. good luck to you guys who take up the challenge. davey1991
I'm almost 100% sure that everything has been decided and confirmed for the 2012 olympics, even if the stadium isn't even complete yet, haha.

6ft-midget
Well if it did get put in the olympics it would probably be are only garenteed Gold lol. I doubt it haha I mean we've got some bloody good riders but i doubt it would be guaranteed gold, the euro boys have the comp scene pretty dialled at the mo. But trials in the olympics would be cool. Rusevelt
Won't happen if UCI have their crappy political way. UCI, is the reason for why both skateboarding, and Bmx freestyle were pulled from out from Bejing 2008. Previous biking events like Redbull Bike Battle, and Nissan Qashai Bike Challenge would be better for trials.
davey1991
Qashqai was amazing i have to agree. We would deffinatley not win anything if it was comp form. As said above europe has some amazing talent. Especilly spain, since thats pretty much the home of cycle trials.
totaltrials
I don't think this will be happening any time soon. But hopefully some time in the future. There are strong rumours freestyle BMX is being introduced to the 2012 Olympics. But that means other cycling events will have to be axed. There have already been a few track cycling events pulled from the London Olympics. So, if Trials was to get to the Olympics, they'd have to push another event out to make way. There can be rumors all they want, the events were finalised on the 10th of december, i knew i'd read it somewhere. I think in the future the more modern sports will be very big in the olympics. Especilly spain, since thats pretty much the home of cycle trials. how can you say we would definatley not win anything if it was a comp, you obivously dont follow the comp scence closely because you would realise that jack carthy is world champion. we also have a very strong team, danny butler, ben slinger, ben savage, sam oliver, andrei burton, ali-c. just to name a few. i love the way that people always try to knock the uk at trials.
