Bashring Bodge.

Hey, Basically my bashing had a lip that was too big so it wouldn't go on the crank straight (if that makes any sense?). So at first I tried sanding it as I didn't have a file, that done sod all. So I whacked out the drill and drilled in lines then cut. It turned out okay just looks rather messy :P

So here it is :)

As you can see I went the wrong way thats why the zoo bit is drilled!

Whooooaaa that's beyond bodged haha. Good effort

Did you do that to both sides in the end cos i don't quite understand why that had to be done.

I once had to bodge my Middleburns when the threads that held the cog on stripped. So I drilled through the bash where all the holes where and nut and bolted it, i kinda made the same mistake you did by not double checking before i attacked it with the Black & Decker and ended up drilling out part of the crank :S

...Please don't tell me you did all that 'cause you were trying to put it on back-to-front...

Nah, appears the lip on the bash was hitting the inside of the crank arm.....and I assume when flipped the lip would catch the chain?

Still...if you could cut in between the holes, why couldn't you just do it without the holes? :S

Spot on.

And I didn't have anything to cut it with. So I drilled it then used a chisel to get in-between the holes. I tried using a jigsaw but I only had wood blades and they didn't even scratch it!
