martin555
Lads calm down. To be honest Ill never sell them because I’ve inherited them from me dad and they hold so many memories. I just thought you’d like to see them. They are really fun to ride and I nearly always choose the top one with green wheels I’ve never ridden a board faster than that one its crazy. Anyway skating is definitely a summer activity.
NVWOCI WVS
That powerflex is very nice. They all look like a lot fun! Been out for a quick cruise on my latest contraption, and it's amazing! 8" skateboard deck, but drilled on the nose/tail for trucks. The angle on the trucks makes it really stable, but still responsive enough, and it obviously makes the deck lower to the ground, so it's super stable. Because the trucks are on the extremities, the wheelbase is really nice and long, so it's going to handle going fast well, and it means it flexes really well too. The trucks and wheels are perfect for cruising and a little bit of hill bombing. So efortless to push it along too, I think it's because it's so low. NVWOCI WVS
I have a couple of deck projects on the go at the moment: A carbon fibre 'mini dancer' and a super flexy glass and carbon fibre slalom/commuter deck. Need to seismic 45s for the commuter, possibly with another set of powell street bones (if I can source any!) and The dancer is for my friend. He's running orangatang stimulus wheels with some 180 randals. Photos to follow next week, when they're both finished. In slightly related news: I just bought a new Dirt Surfer from my drunk friend at the pub for £50. I sold my last one and regreted it. Time to bomb some mad crazy hills at 50mph on 2 wheels! NVWOCI WVS
Finished carboning today. Needs trimming into it's final shape, and the rails doing. This was the ghetto press we made for laminating the ply up: Looks something like this at the moment, looks uneven becaues of the light and the epoxy being wet. full set of photos at facebookresolution[tm] here. Revolver
Wow, cool... I would've thought you'd need a steam box to bend the wood properly. Good job!
davey1991
Snipington. That is awesome sam. Someone buy my board.
NVWOCI WVS
Wow, cool... I would've thought you'd need a steam box to bend the wood properly. Good job! With thin ply, you can get away with bending it dry, and gluing it in position to get the shape you want, you just have to allow for it to flatten out slightly when you take the weight off it. Have some actual photos of longboarding: Photos of the carbon dancer being ridden to follow shortly. bikeperson45
I had one of them! When I was 5 my DAD came back after a trip to the dump and he'd found one of them. I loved it, felt so easy to steer and get speed. I was really annoyed when I found out he'd thrown it out
shamus
you need to see the positive side, someone else might find it and have the fun you did in your youth!
Revolver
Bumpo... http://www.holdall.co.uk/product/21085/urban_blue_100_series_longboard http://www.holdall.co.uk/product/30182/urban_blue_200_series_skates Both have my attention at the moment... although for some reason I remember Sam saying avoid Urban Blue boards... why?
Harris
Urban Blue are just generally shit. They are made crappy, and are basically toys. You want to ideally be looking at a lush or alike, ive got a local made faltown board and i love it to bits, but its mroe of a downhilly-type board that what your looking at. Revolver
Aah, I see! Cheers for that, I'll avoid it.
Revolver
Rolling around on some wood with wheels on it, is definitely going to take a while to get the hang of. Although so far I've been out 10 mins and not fallen on my ass yet.
Bronz
I really really wanna start skating again. Who're the best company to buy from at the moment? Wisdom has shut down since I stopped skating and I used to buy from there…
Revolver
I'd go into a shop in town if you're not sure about websites. Least then you can have a good look at the shit they've got to offer.
Bronz
There's only Exit in Leeds as far as I know, and they seem somewhat understocked I know exactly what I'd buy, too. I'd replicate my old set up… I wonder if my mum and dad kept it… hmmmm.
NVWOCI WVS
I'm selling this: Zorlac deck made in 1982. I bought it as a NOS blank, epoxy coated it to increase the longevity of it, and painted it white. It's been used since this photo was taken, has a vew more stickers on it and some scuffs on the tail (as you'd expect). It's running on Lush 6" trucks (same geo as indie 155s), abec 7 bearings and NOS powell prealta street bones (90A). They're super smooth, really fast and extremely grippy. I'd like £70 inc p+p for the set up. More recent photos upon request.

Revolver
Yaaaay. If I keep learning this quick maybe I'll get a tricksboard as well. I like my thingy though... but it only has one kicktail so 180/fakie tricks are out.
