douglas_trials
okay, turned my rim into a banana last night. tried to true it using the spokes and snapped one so is beyond this. just put this topic up to see if anyone has any little techniques for bending it back? just to start it off..... i saw on an anonomus MTB site that putting it in the freezer will get it out. I think this is bull and fail to see any engineering principal behind this. but you have to love the imagination to discover/attempt it. bigamac
Stand on it. bend it back. then true it from that. Sorted!
Ben John-Hynes
Get a new rim would be the best advice.

NewRockCowboy
If its that bad that you have to stamp on or hammer the rim then Id just buy a new one the amount of stress the material has gone through it will prob bend easily again soon. Muel
Slacken all the spokes right off or better still strip the wheel down, then get a wooden block and use that to bend the rim back straight again, then rebuild the wheel. HargrovesToby
how badly "bananad" is it? Might be beyond repair! if you do disassemble and re-build, use new spokes though!
CC12345678910
If your arsed enough to strip & Re-build, BUY A NEW EFFING RIM. (and spokes)
gage-mann
use hammer and order a rim for £35-£40 or second hand with in the week
