A few questions here. 2. what kind of paint should i get for DIY painting? 3. Do i need to sand away the current layer of paint? 4. I wonder what question 1 was going to be? 2 - Car paint 3 - You do if you want it to last a while, and to do a good job in general 4 - Do it anyway. Cahill Trials Kid Posted February 2, 2010 Report Share Posted February 2, 2010 Aup I would strip the waint off, but try and make it as smooth as possible. Car paint would be the best stuff, but dont buy cheap stuff, if you want to do a good job that will last you need good paint. Just a little tip : Take your time and do alot of very thin layers of paint rather that puting all the paint on at once, This will stop it dripping at all and, If you just put all the paint on at once then as soon as you get a little scratch it will just flake making it pointless.
