Death Proof was total shit. Was mega disappointed when we left the cinema, walked out with a face like

Went to see Les Mis with the Mrs the other night, was pretty good but musicals aren't really my bag - if you're getting dragged along to it, it could be much worse :)

Django

Saw loads of people hyping it up on facebook and Quentin is my favourite director so I was hoping for good things.

I was quite disappointed, I thought it was going to be good after the first 20 mins or so, but after that it went a little stale. I felt like it should have ended a little earlier, I never really liked many characters (except the German dude) and there seemed to be a few gaps in the story (a back story for Django would have been cool, could have explained how he was such a good shot too).

I'd give it about a 6/10

I haven't seen it yet but am hoping to have a different opinion of it as I usually enjoy most Tarantino films. I can't comment on the film yet but I think the reason you may not have heard much about Django (if this is the case) is that Django Unchained is intended to be the latest in a series of 'Django' films http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Django_(film) so perhaps Tarantino feels this has already been covered.

I didn't think Death Proof was shit at all however Tarantino has said it's the worst film he's ever made and he'll go out if he makes another like it. I think it had a cool style and referenced a lot of nice elements from B-Movies. I know a lot of people didn't like it as the dialogue scenes were so long but it was a fairly cool chick-flick, nicely shot with a great soundtrack.

I watched Movie 43 on Friday, now this is far from your conventional film, I would describe it more as a series of youtube videos mixed with dark humor and strangeness. I enjoyed it but I would say there would be no middle ground on feelings a marmite kinda film.

Id say watch it but don't come out with hard feelings, I have never seen anything like it and in the film world that is rare nowadays.

I'm with you on that one, I can see why some people may like it but it didn't appeal to me at all.

Watched the grey a week or two ago and wasn't very impressed by it. Do you know the bit in mr bean on holiday where it's that rubbish carson clay film bit. The first ten minutes just made me think if that :L
