niwlen
Has anyone tried the "Brand-X Thermoplastic V-Brake Booster" from Chainreactioncycles? I cannot seem to find a decent booster anywhere. Was looking for the salsa carbon but nobody stocks them??

craigjames
I've got a Salsa carbon booster and it works exactly as it should and looks pimp, all round win! The Shimano carbon ones are supposed to be really good too; both unfortunately are as rare as rocking horse excrement.

rupintart
Yea but the booster looks poop~ That's probably one of the stiffest boosters available. Who cares how it looks. ALL V brake boosters are ugly. http://cgi.ebay.com/Interloc-brake-booster...d#ht_500wt_1182 $1 Doesn't get any cheaper than that. http://cgi.ebay.com/Shimano-XTR-V-Carbon-B...#ht_1006wt_1165 $35 http://cgi.ebay.com/Salsa-Carbon-V-Brake-B...9#ht_890wt_1165 $40 Use eBay...did you even really search? I found those in less than 5 seconds. And if you don't get either of those, don't complain about not being able to find one...those prices are pretty competitive for how rare they are, as well as readily available because of "Buy it now" Edited January 29, 2010 by rupintart
niwlen
Yea i did a bid for a salsa carbon. =) Was wondering if there were any like off the shelve. I do rem the shimano ones barely fitting into most frames for now ( max spacing at 90mm? ).
