Grinded Rim Or Tar?

Now then I aint been riding for long but been out with a few lads and found that they were stopping to ree tar it most of the time. I found a good set of blocks on normal v breakes work fine I also got teflon cables so it does'nt stretch I use plazmatic crv.In wet and cold weather they been hard wearing and grip all the time.

Hi there, when people say both, does this mean grinded rims and tar, or one of each on the front and back. I hate to think what people will think when they see how stupid this question is. But where would trials be without us newbies haha :)

Yeah, "re-tarring" as you named it can get quite annoying, but its not like you have to stop every 5 minute. Whilst using tar in the past, ive had to re-apply some tar about every 1-2 hours, which isnt to bad considering it takes under 5 minutes.

Spin the rear wheel, put a dab on, spin it again and put another dab on. 10seconds max. :S

Can someone sticky this topic, along with one about tyre pressure and other small stuff, so the new members can see them and we don't get asked the same thing repeatedly.

In the dry tar is fine with almost any pads, when it gets wet it will kill you to death.

A grind works well in both wet and dry, with the right pads.
