Tom Canham
Hey, Im looking to buy a new bike and i want a Zoo Lynx but i don't know if the wheelbase will be too long for me. Does anyone know the wheel base for the first Onza Ice ?? And the Long Koxx Levelboss. Would be such a great help if you could say Thanks -Tom Edited January 25, 2010 by papman
josh barker
the first onza ice was a 1025-1030 wheelbase, the zoo lynx is a good frame by the way, short or long versions available too. so your choice of wheelbase

Revolver
The Ice I think is a perfectly fine length. You can change how long it feels with a different stem setup anyway, so so long as it's something like, it doesn't matter a huge deal. Tom Canham
I just needed to know the wheelbases of the bikes because, i have rode my mates Onza ice and i think that's like my limit on how long i should have the frame, maybe a bit shorter. And my mate just got a Levelboss (long) and i think that's perfect... Just wanted to know so that i could get a rough outline on what the Lynx would be like... Thanks for the info though -Tom

Thanks for the info though -Tom I ride a Zoo lynx short, and i have rode my mates GU TP long. They are a fair distance apart, about 45-50mm maybe? and the GU actually feels nice. I can't do as much on his GU but it does feel like something i could happily get used to. The Lynx long is like 1020mm which isn't ridiculously long and i really think you would get used to it very fast having riden a long-ish frame before. gu trials
are you just getting a frame or a bike, because the zoo lynx comes in short and long if just looking at the frame but i dont think you have this option with the bike

Well, if you're getting it from Tarty If you're getting it second hand, you won't necessarily be able to choose between lengths. monty-james
Well, Tom my new levelboss is the right kind of length, its the long so it feels much better on the back wheel. My brothers got the short Levelboss and its slightly harder to get the correct sweet spot for balance when pedal hopping. So in my opinion it'd be better to get the long if you get the choice.
