Luke.P
Where can i get this done ??
weirdoku
Where can i get this done ?? Best is to helicoil, tapping to M6 means you'll have to drill out your brake mounts to fit M6 bolts as well. Helicoil is the better option. You can either buy a M5 helicoil kit off somewhere like ebay and do it yourself, or take it to a local engineering place or something similar and they might be able to do it for you for a small charge. Mark W
If you tap it to M6 you'd also have to drill your booster out if you're running one. They're less likely to strip once they're M6, but still more likely to strip than a helicoil. Just have a look around local firms, or maybe online for somewhere you could send it to get it done. If you're not 100% about doing it, it might be better getting someone else to do it.
Al_Fel
I'd go for a helicoil all day long. Tapping to M6 is bad news really. Its really easy to do too if you are in anyway practical.
Luke.P
Going for the helicoil option, my mate use to work in bike shop near me and he says that they do helicoil's so i am going to phone them up and get it done there.
