Stan Shaw
Just thought I'd post some pics of my 24" with a rear disc as there aren't many about. It was double disc for a few weeks, but I'm now riding it without a front brake. I must say though, a rear disc is much more nicer for streety type stuff than the rear HS33 I had. Thanks to Mark/Ads for the photos. If people want a spec I will post one, oh and the weight is 9.66 kilos.

3dd
Great ride. Few questions though - are you happy with that back brake? You have expensive H hub, king headset and a louise? How do you keep that tensioner in the hub? It is a piece of spoke, right?
Ben John-Hynes
Is that tensioner a spoke!? hhaa Bike looks great, bloody light too!

The headset is an Echo SL not a king and the wheels came complete off a shop bike we dismantled so i was lucky to get the posh rear hub etc. The tensioner is a spoke looped around the axle. Mark W
Is that tensioner a spoke!? hhaa That's the Mk.2 version. I've got the Mk.3 and it's amazing! Better tension than Stan's, and all you need is a 268mm spoke and a nipple. Super good system.
Ross McArthur
Ahh, so the nipple goes in the hanger allen bolt hole?
Stan Shaw
The top hole, yeah. EDIT: Just remembered Stan's hanger only has one hole... Edited January 20, 2010 by Stan Shaw
The Hitcher
Beautiful looking bike. That an onza stem? Any chance on some close up pics of how this tensioner is attached, for those of us who haven't a clue of this incredible system.
Revolver
That an onza stem? It looks like it, in which case, they're actually really good on this kind of bike.
Mark W
On mine, it's just the nipple tightened up on the spoke, then that sticking through the mech hanger bolt. Bend it 90, then coil it round the axle then bend a piece out so it's pressing down on the chain. Easy peasy (well, sorta - Adam's finger doesn't agree). Keeps really good tension too, whilst still being quiet. Did some 180 drops 'n' stuff yesterday and it didn't pop out of place but still kept nice tension on it. And yeah, it's the Onza PZ31 85mm x 20° stem. Same that I've got on mine, and same we spec on most of our 24" bikes. It's a really nice stem for BMXy sorta stuff, but it's still manageable for trials. Revolver, I'm pretty sure it was you - if you ordered some pads 'n' clamps, they're on their way. Yeah Last time or so I ordered with you I ordered at the same time, after 4, and it still turned up next day! Good work, guys
Mark W
I remember that But yeah, glad it was you 'cos I put 'Tobias Revolver Sample' as contact... You need to check out the precision packing of your pads too. I'll try and grab some pics of my tensioner later on today once I've sorted out these products photos. Luke Rainbird
Looks really tidy, nicely done chaps! Where'd you get the Tioga rims, Stan? Ran a set of those on my Ashton BITD and they were sweet!
Mark W
I believe Stan got them from a fairly well-known trials shop
Luke Rainbird
As in you guys are going to be stocking them? Didn't spot them on the site the other day when I was buying rims else it would've been an easy option!
Mark W
I think we sold out... May have one left, but I'm not 100%.

TrialsMan Dan
best 24 on here yep, have to agree with that. ive been running my 26" with just a rear vee until it gets sold, and its surprising how much fun you can have with only one brake. might try that stem on my 24" and im also looking for one of those tioga rims.
