Ashley Sayers
what is the best pedals to buy ? caged or platform? i was thinking about buying the Try-All Aluminium Caged in gold ? cheers
Rowlly21
Hi mate, My opinion on cage pedals is that there rubbish ! I had mine for about 3 weeks and the fell apart the outer cage came clean off and they bend alot. I would go for platforms if i where you will last you for ever and have good grip. Hope this helps Andy

Guantanamo
Try ebay, got a pair of wellgo mg-1s for £30 posted brand new
Stevie
Defo get Platform ones, all of the magneisum ones around the £45-£50 mark are the exact same pedal except for the colour and logos. Caged pedals can bend fairly easily, weigh more unless you spend alot of money and you can't replace the pins on them like you can on platform ones. I recently bought the Onza Hognesium ones, mainly because the trialtech ones were out of stock, my mate has got the trial techs and they are the EXACT same pedal except for the logo. Hope this helps Stevie

saracenrobb
i run koxx magnesium platforms and they are great for me and light, never bin too keen on caged pedals for street but might be ok for comps.

matt.price
dmr v8's i got about a year ago their still in tip top condition just one pin missing and there fairly cheap £
ogre
made of win.... you can upgrade the axles to ti later on too! otherwise V8s are the best pedals for the money, unsealed bearings keep the price down but they still spin nice enough, and the pedal design is superb! Cahill Trials Kid
Ive always been fond on caged peddles but am thinking about trying platforms as everyone seems to love them.
6ft-midget
Onza vp pedals. at £14 they're mega cheap and I've had mine for nearly two year without any problems. and the cages are very grippy and quite durable. I think that they're a bargain.
Sam Oliver
I prefer cage pedals to flat, simply because they are more grippy for natural riding. The problem with cage pedals is the bolts coming undone which you simply threadlock from new. Sam.
