Snoopy
I used to have a really nice Azonic DS-1 mk1 that i built up when they 1st came out (a long time ago)..... For me it was the perfect bike, i'm trying really hard to build another just like it but having trouble with the frame, do current DS1 Mk3's have anywhere the same geometry as the Mk1's? Also i can't find a Mk3 in polished, are they available in polished or am i going to have to get a black one and get it polished?
AdamR28
Olskool, that's awesome! I'm not too well up on the Azonic frames, but I think the geo will have changed now... One thing to note also is that even though the bike was perfect for you back then, things have changed a LOT and it's unlikely to ride very well compared with modern bikes. If you can, I would recommend having a quick play on a few modern trials bikes if you can, you will see a huge difference, they are much easier to ride! sstein
The mk1 and mk3 had different geos, i am pretty sure of it. The Mk3s are also not current, i don't think they have made them since 01. They were really nice, in fact I still have one, but the geo is very outdated, even for it's intended purpose of dual slalom. The chainstay for instance is 17.5 inches (if i remember correctly) more than an inch longer than most similarly styled current frames and 2" longer than most trials bikes. Snoopy
To be honest i liked the fact that it was long as it made it a good all rounder which made it good for riding to work. I want to build up another pretty much just for riding to work again as i do most of my trials on my moto trials bike. The Azonic mk3 is only £140 at the minute in black, want a polished one really but cant find one?
