ashk16
hi all, i havent rode in months (seasoned rider i gueess) and i'm going to start getting the bike freshend up a bit for when the evenings draw out the frame is an echo team, i am currently using a monty 221 ti stem (carbon effect one) and onza carbon raisers but i'm about an inch shy of 6ft and find this quite low so i'm looking for a bit more of a rise... i am thinking a tryall nuck and the trialtech high rise bars? any other suggestions or recomendations would be appreciated! ohh and i guess i'm on about a £100 budget! thanks, ash. Mark W
Seems kinda weird getting a low-ish stem like that, then high rise bars - maybe something a touch higher/longer stem wise would be for the best if you're taller? I'm about your height and anything smaller than 170mm feels shit to me.

Mark W
The carbon risers don't have that much rise, so maybe just try some new bars first, then a new stem?
Muel
Aye I'd say get some TI bars on there, then if you need a new stem to tune it them do it!
ashk16
yeah sounds good, monty ti, rage bars, pro 720 or trialtech???? would rather keep the stem than the bars to be honest thanks for the replys, ash.
Mark W
I've got a pair of white Trialtech Sport bars I could do for pretty cheap? Only used them for a bit, so just a few scratches but nothing major.

cai
I recomend you buy a new stem. A stem that is higher and longer than your current one. Keep your bars if you find them comfortable - getting a high rise stem will help so much more! I'm 6'1, and find all mods just too small - but with a higher front end (this results in a longer reach, it makes it so much more comfortable) A stem like these should suit a taller rider much more.. Viz Forged - 175mm x 35° £39 Link. Onza T-Master - 185mm x 40° £25 Link. TMS Forged - 180mm x 35° £35 Link. Trialtech Race Forged - 165 x 35° £30 Link. EDIT: added prices for you Edited January 19, 2010 by cai
Mark W
The Try-All Oversized stem is what's keeping my bars and forks attached to my bike at the mo, and it's pretty tickety boo as far as big 'n' long stems go.

Has Tarty sold out of these at the moment? As they are not shown on the site..
