Guest
I recently purchased some new Trialtech Race Platform pedals and I had a go at fitting them today. When I took out the old pedals the thread seemed to come out of the crank along with the pedal. This left a much larger thread inside the crank of which the thread on my new pedals wont match up to. I've tried removing the pedal thread insert from the old pedals but they wont come off. I was wondering if and where I can buy a new pedal thread insert? (or if there is anything I else I can do)

I found this: http://www.chainreactioncycles.com/Models.aspx?ModelID=27072 the price looks very steep though for what it is.

Not really expensive compared to the time it'll take to manufacture a piece like that.
Mark W
Try and tighten the insert as tight as you can back into the crank. Spray some GT-85 or WD-40 into the pedal threads if you can and let it soak. When you try and undo it next, use a hammer and bang the spanner to try and shock the pedal free.
