Lawnmowerman
Sorry that's what I meant. Not a lot you can do. Try phoning your provider and complaining.
isitafox
Not sure bout sorting the signal but have you jailbroken it yet? Can get all the apps for free then, er, not that I'd do anything illegal like that of course, ahem... (A)
davey1991
Its an Iphone thats where you went wrong. No i joke, it'll be your service provider, my sony ericsson on orange does the same thing, if i move it an inch it'll loose all its signal and explode.... weirdoku
LOL how can an app possibly improve its signal? Mines on O2 and the 3G signal drops in my area or goes completely dead, but normal phone signal is fine.

BigAl
I have exactly the same problem on my lg thats on orange. I blame that on the fact that its an LG, every LG i've had has been crap, id rather hold a pile of fresh dog shit to my head instead of an LG. anzo
I had a similar problem with one of my phones...It was a SE W800i on T-Mobile. It was shocking for getting a decent signal on, and then I brought another phone and the problem went away. So more than likely I'd say it's the phone, afterall it's pretty rare to not get mobile phone coverage in the UK.
Tomm
It probably is coverage issues. The one thing you can try is to reset the network settings. It's in the phone's settings page, general, reset, reset network settings. If that fails you can try the "Reset all settings" option, but that one means you can lose data if you haven't backed up (IIRC?). Having said that, I had an iPhone where it would lose signal and never get it back until I turn flight mode on&off. That one was faulty and Apple replaced it. If you've bought it from new, just take it back to an Apple shop and have them take a look at it - They may well give you a new one!
