Does any body have any reviews on the Echo SL freewheel. I had one of dengs freehubs in the past and it didnt last a week, so I need convincing on the Sl freewheels. So if anybody has any info/reviews (mainly the Tarty boys) then please post in here and let me know. Many thanks.

You really can't compare the echo freewheels to the freehubs.

The SL feels amazing its soooo positive and the clicks are totally unison all the pawls engage exactly at the same time. You can feel the strength of the springs just by moving the cranks.

They are by far the best freewheels out.

People seem to bum the ENO freewheel because all the parts are replaceable but for the price of one of them you could have 2 echo TR freewheels and they would last a lot longer.

All the Tarty boys will say the SL is great and lets face it they know what they are talking about.

Why specifically the 'Tarty boys'?

They are hardly gonna tell you it's sh ite are they.

Anyway, as Al says it is an amazing freewheel I have had one for a while now and it kicks the ass off of tensile and ENO both of which I have also had.

I would say ho for it.

That's a good point but IF they were shit they wouldn't all be running them.

What Anal said. We generally just try and give honest advice, and we can't really be much more honest than pointing out that we could all run whatever hub/freewheel setup we want to, but we all run SL freewheels. They're absolutely amazing! I wasn't 100% at first 'cos I wasn't really that impressed by the 108.9s, but Ali's has been running for 10 months or so with no hassle at all. I haven't seen his skip once yet, and neither has mine. I can't really stress enough how good they are.

If you thinking that they are thinking about profit margins then I'm sure they wouldn't mind you spending twice the ammount to get an eno... if thats what you mean.

That is not what I mean dude.

Mark made a good point about being able to run what they want and they are all running these freewheels.

I think this freewheel may be the virtual death of Chris Kings in trials, you don't see Chris king hubs getting snapped up in the forsale section like they used to, and a good thing too, bloody overpriced they are by miles.

Yoda speaks the truth :P

But yeah, I guess King spares are preeeetty pricey spares-wise too so if your reasonably expensive hub dies, it's going to reasonably expensive to get it running again. With how good high engagement freewheels are now and the nicer weight distribution of FFW systems it just makes sense to go down that route.

They're VERY good freewheels indeed.

Heard only positives from customers, never had even one complaint. It's the best freewheel out there at the moment.

^changed so it was right, i wouldn't buy any other freewheel after owning one, even better than the eno
