japslap
Mate of mine spilt his shin bone before, and got a free ride to hospital in an ambulance and all, heee yaaa at least you didn't have the double length terror pins in your v8's! I used to use foot ball shin pads under my jeans when my feet used to slip off mine, but don't seem to have the problem any-more
Mark W
Edited the topic title for you so you didn't miss a golden opportunity. In related news, get a pair of balls - that's nothing
chris4stars
this reminds me of a post in the new members chat about wearing/notwearing shinguards, went somthing like; 'i dont know what you guys are going on about, it doesnt even hurt. infact me and my mates find it funny'

craigjames
Strangely its not something i seem to do anymore. Used to be a common thing, but come on, its not really that bad! Did you have stitches, did they have to clean it out with an iodine scouring pad?
willdudeXD
i've gone all dizzy. lol, i got some one exactly the same on my wellgo v8 copys, it was like a cross betwen the st and 2nd one, and there was like some stringy fatty shit hanging out of it
psycholist
To be honest from what I've done to my shins with pinned pedals compared to what I've seen friends of mine do with caged pedals, pins do a lot less damage than caged ones. Cuts from pinned pedals tend to be quite surgical and heal easily compared to cages. I did have one pin from a V8 pedal punch a perfect circular hole in my pants before getting embedded in my leg once - hilarious stuff provided it doesn't hurt enough to stop you riding ... mr ailsbury
lol don't be such a pussy! thats nothing! You'll have a lot more painful/manly scrapes in your riding lifetime. trust me! I'd personally much rather take a shindig than wear itchy sweaty shin pads.

Brisa
Used to shin myself a lot when I first started then didn't do it for years! My last time on the trials bike in the summer I gapped to gusset spikey shit of a pedal to the shin. Bit below my knee didn't dry up for 2 days. Was disgusting! Back to platforms with the new bike and get my veggie wraps back on for sho' Edited January 15, 2010 by Brisa
isitafox
Remember when I was ridin an old bmx at my mums when I was about 12 and shinned myself on the caged pedals in shorts. Went inside to mop up, went back out an did it again! I gave up riding that crappy bike after that, had to cut a weird stringy bit off that was hangin out ma shin with some scissors, still got the scar 14 years later! Jitters
You'll be alright dude This is my mate Tom's from a few months back on a London all-nighter; ^^^ This is exactly why I wear shin guards all the time. Rather spend the money on beer or bike parts than having to have something like that doctored up. Don't really care if people think shin guards look gay. Greetings
That's cool, it looks like a Corvette engine with a human face between the cylinder banks. Get some balls people, trials injuries are rarely nasty (apart from the one above admittedly). edit: actually... Mikee
Do the people who wear shingaurds find that when they are wearing their shinguards, their feet never slip off the peddles. But the day you forget to put them on your feet slip off the peddles and your shins get raped? I have done this twice now.
