Revolver
Ditch both, have one bike for both! Personally I dunno if I would like the BB rise, I dunno if it's too much.
Mark W
I wouldn't necessarily focus on the geo too much simply because no-one really knows what's 'right' for this kind of bike as they've not really been done before. It rides differently to every other bike I've tried, but in a pretty good way.
Revolver
Should I buy one?
Al_Fel
Should I buy one? Go on be the first. Then when everyone realises its good you can say you started the trend.
cai
Yeah I understand theres been no 'trialsy' 24" yet, so nobody knows the perfect geo as of yet. I'm paying attension to the geo as I whacked this spare Echo Pure 04 frame of mine on my 24" set-up (literally just did a frame swap for the fun of it.. and had to make some extra long vee daptors for the rear barke to work) last week to see what it rode like, and it feels no different to me than 26" wheels.. So I figured these frames would follow the same principles as stock frames, and the popular geo of 1080, 380, 72, +40 would of been best?? Whats the advantage of the shorter chainstays and even higher BB?
Mark W
The advantage of the shorter stays and higher BB would be that it doesn't just feel like a stock. The whole point is that it's a mixture of stock and mod characteristics, so if it was just stock geo with smaller wheels you wouldn't really get that. If your 24 felt 'like a 26' when you put a stock frame on it, that's not necessarily a good thing IMO. Oh, and Revolver wouldn't be the first to get one in any case
Revolver
Oh, and Revolver wouldn't be the first to get one in any case Damn, there's no point then Haha, I dunno, it's a lot of money for something I might not like. I'd have to buy the cams too. Do snail cams work with a hope proIIt?
Mark W
You can run them on the outside, although Stan told me that you can fit one on the drive side inside the frame, apparently...
Revolver
Man, on the outside... I guess I could get some green ones. I really need to sell my jump bike.
Mark W
It's not too bad having them outside - if you get a good, notched cam it should stay put anyway, but if not if you put them on so you spin the cam clockwise to tension your chain then when you tighten your wheel if it does move it'll just tighten your chain a bit... Revolver
What's a good cam? Lol, I dunno any of this stuff, I use a locked out derallieur Think I'd pick the tryall cam, on the fact it's got solid looking notches. Still, that makes it £276 for that frame then. Mark W
TR cams are the shit. Me 'n' Ads 'n' Stan use them and they're awesome! Not as noticeably notched, but work really well and are made of steel so they won't deform or anything. Quality product.
zoster
first post said they are UCI legal. do they enter as a stock?
Revolver
They enter as neither. I think all the categories are merged.
Greetings
Rise is a bit silly. Wasn't there a 24" Yabba in development which looked a bit like a Hydroxx?

Mat Tea Why
Is this a real thing, or are you messing with us? The way they are going about releasing frames atm I wouldn't be suprised Edited January 16, 2010 by Mat Tea Why
Mark W
Rise is a bit silly. Wasn't there a 24" Yabba in development which looked a bit like a Hydroxx? It sounds stupid, but rides really well somehow. I was kinda sketpical when we first measured it, but it does feel quite nice with that stem on. Revolver
When will they be back in? You can't've had many.
Mark W
They were just way more popular than we were expecting! I think Ads or Stan put an order in with Neon yesterday, so it'll probably be a couple of weeks at a guess - they've gotta go a pretty long way. Revolver
See, Onza? If they ran out of stock of those in two days, what will happen with an even better looking frame with an even better geo?
Scott Gibbs
See, Onza? indianatrials
Sounds to me like this whole 24" thing is to good to be true. Im 5'9, i was wondering if i would be able to handle this? Ive always rode mod, but ive ridden quite a few different stocks, and i just feel like im a midget and i cant do anything when im on them. Will the 24 be easier for me to handle, while having the same plus sides as a stock? Edited January 17, 2010 by indianatrials
