Rusevelt
All 3 steeds looking solid as feck. Any chance of a Mod, vs 24Street, vs Bmx vid in the pipline just kidding.
Mikee
Bikes look sweet. And i'm lovin the inspired sticker on the echo. Do the trialtech high risers feel the same as normal trialtech bars but taller? as they have the same up and back sweep. If so I might have to invest! They sorta feel the same, but it's hard to describe 'cos they're pretty rolled back on my 24 so they feel more 'streety' rather than more trialsy like Trialtech Sports do when they're rolled forward in a normal trials way. They do feel reasonably similar though, it's basically just the bit between each bend that's changed, rather than from bend to tip.

Leistonbmx
Ashamed of those profiles. All looks nice though. Would have thought you would have a brake on the BMX though.
the trials mop
is that one of the splined tree sprockets, if so how good are they as they use a interesting fitting system?
Mark W
Ashamed of those profiles. All looks nice though. Would have thought you would have a brake on the BMX though. They were free and they work really well - not really much not to like about them... is that one of the splined tree sprockets, if so how good are they as they use a interesting fitting system? It's awesome. Had a 25t, moved up to 28t, now back down to 25t - they've all been fine. Really nice and solid, plus it's meant I snap a lot less chains 'cos my chainline is spot on now whereas normally it'd be a fair way off. Bueno. J Trials 31
Bmx is amazing! That zoo looks amazing too, just not as good as the bmx lol. Not liking the 24, setup doesn't look like what I'd do.

Matt Vandart
Loving the Zoo. Are the forks bent on your BMX? Edited January 15, 2010 by Matt Vandart
Mark W
Nah, they're not. BMX forks always look slightly bent back just 'cos of the angle they're at. They've got tapered legs too which taper more at the back than the front so they look kinda weird...
Greetings
Does that Echo feel like a street bike, is it easy to bunnyhop and spin around? Is it also fairly comfortable when you put the seat up and ride it normally?
Mark W
That kinda depends by what you mean by 'riding it around normally' - I'm used to either no seat (mod) or a low seat (BMX), so I just leave it low. I never really tweak the height of any of my seats just because I don't really use them much, other than to feel where my bike is when I'm doing tricks and stuff. I hate sitting down and pedalling so I never really do it, so it's not really an issue. Street wise though it's really nice. Can do 'trials' on it if you want, but it's also nice for doing 180 bunnyhops up stairs, general spins, manuals, manuals to 180, brakeless nose pivoty things, half cabs, etc. - it's just really nice with that bar and stem setup 'cos it makes it feel shorter and higher which is pretty ideal for BMXy manoeuvres. Greetings
Cheers. I'm looking for a multi-purpose bike which I can do a bit of street, trials and normal riding around on. Something you can take to a bike ride with your mates but also have fun on. This or even better the Czar seems to be the only sensible option at the moment. Mark W
Yeah, if this Echo had horizontal dropouts it'd be peeerfect. If you get a longer Pivotal post (they come up to 330mm length, which in imperial measurements is about 4 miles), you could run a nicer seat that you can raise up without it being too heavy. Other than that, it's ideal really. Kinda fun to just ride from spot to spot too. I'm running 18:13 so it's a bit better for getting speed up and doing rollbacks, and it means it's also a pretty ideal 'riding around town' gear too. Can nip in and out of traffic easily, etc. It's just good!

Matt Vandart
Any particular reason you use a magura disc on the front and a hope on the back or is it just thats what you had available?

Matt Vandart
Mark, do me a favour if you don't mind bud, could you measure from the BB center to the top center of the headtube for me? The WB, is it 1020mm on your bike? I'm thinking a the wee bit longer chainstay on this frame would suit me down to the ground. I'm liking the look of this frame more and more, was tempted when I got my skull.
