mr.tattoo Posted January 14, 2010 Report Share Posted January 14, 2010 you could buy soem 2nd hand ones for £50 easy Identitiy bikes are all about brand name my m8s just got 1 for £550 and came with rubbish chain and disk breaks ..... cable lol for 550 the frame was black plane and boreing i would never buy a identitiy but that mongoose if i had £200 to buy it now i really would ul never get a bike that spec for that price , theirs crap dirt jump bikes for more than that mongoose ritual . hope i helped m8 identiti are strong mate, im in my thirties and have been riding 20 odd years hard on jump bikes, that mongoose is far from a great speced bike, its got med quality parts, most jump frames are strong its the componants you want to be good specs, thats got basic hubs, steam and bars etc etc mongoose have and always will be a mid market bike ok for most peole but if you ride them hard they will break, look at dh for example when we are in france mongoose have a few dh rigs out now, not very well specced and break. what you need to look out for is a bike that someones got and already upgradid a few parts, youl then get it for a decent price. if you buy one and then have to upgrade bits it will turn into a money pit lol trust me i have a transition bottle rocket and a brooklyn machine works mini over 7500 in two bikes!!!!! you get what you pay for dude, its all down to budget, you want strong parts for dirt and street because it HURTS when stuff breaks trust me, your welcome to come see my scars from where things have broken lol oh and the reason nowt else is good spec for same money is the mongoose aint as good as the others hence the secon hand prices. it a buyers market this time of year so hold out and get a bargain buddy as a cheap bike will need spending if you use it properly, all just my opinion. They've got lazy and now they let us do it, which to be honest isn't working because people vote for their friends instead of voting for people who could acctually be of service to the forum. Yeah i know they are leading brand BUT their rubbish value for money compaired to most brands because ur paying more for the brand name ... my m8 got a £550 one not so long ago and its useless the frame is wiked cranks handlebars and forcks are ok but u could buy them all brand new for £300 with wheels ... the chain breaks are useless crap that you could buy for £20 where did that £230 of value for money come from lol ? its the brand name that your paying for and it dosent even have Identiti on the bike u have to sick it on lol..... just because every 1 has heard of identiti they think its a good spec bike which they are but their not value for money in my eyes = ] Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Identiti only make the frame forks (depending on what forks hes got), So what your saying it that the bits that are made by identiti are the quality parts!
