Mtchell
Hi has anyone one got or used the goodridge hosing, I,ve just order a front kit for my disc as i completey fooked up the shortening of the hose. It cost my £26 which I thought was ok as it comes with the olivers and bits and bats. Now I was wondering would it be worth investing in a rear kit for £40 for my magura?, bearing in mind I already use a braided hose for my rear brake? any advice would be great cheers Edited January 9, 2010 by Mtchell

DannyBazz (:
I got it, it's really good. My brakes are bled with water, no anti freeze or anything, and even in my garage where it gets below freezing pretty often, brake doesn't freeze. My mate had the regular hosing and his freeze all the time. Also a lot less chance of popped crossovers and that. I'd recommend it any day
Ali C
its pretty indestructable, but bear in mind that its designed for dot fluid which is a lot thinner than magura mineral oil, so it will make your brakes slower to react, its not such a problem with water though, but its still a bit slower than standard hosing. This is true, mine has generally felt like an oild bleed when bled with water, lol. Maybe a little bit thinner.
Mtchell
Oh right sounds quite positive,I run a water bleed at the moment on the rear so it,ll be slower to return with goodridge yer?
Revolver
Yes, a bit, but it's not really bad. It's still pretty quick acting.
DannyBazz (:
Yeah, mine's bled with water. If you do a decent bleed, it still feels a lot better than oil
Mtchell
Oh cool sounds right enough then while we're on brake is it worth investing in a carbon lever aswell my mate says they don't flex when the brake reaches it biting point? darrenhopper
Well Carbon lever blades don't bend...... They do shatter though. As for goodridge lines, I reckon they're always worth the money. Though if you've already got braided lines then I don't see how you'll notice any improvement, aside from them being prettier.
