AdamR28
oh my god the price of the ti freewheel!! Yeah, cheap isn't it! (Not sarcasm by the way, that is a bloody amazing price considering the machining and the cost of raw Ti.)

Indeed, but there's not really much more you could make out of Ti and keep it all reasonably strong.

Yea i agree from that point of view but i would need to know it would last for over a year or more as its alot of money for a freewheel. I think i will get one of the sprockets they look pimp. Mark W
Ali's SL is almost a year old, as I think he got his freewheel on this Deng shipment last year, if that makes sense. So yeah, it should last you a pretty long time.
Jake Beach
Love the TR cranks! Why is the SL headset lighter than the ti one?
eskimo
Love the TR cranks! Why is the SL headset lighter than the ti one? SL is aluminium. Alu is lighter than Ti. But Ti is stronger in the way that it is stronger. Material pro i am yes Why do i keep coming back to this topic Edited February 18, 2010 by eskimo
Mark W
What Eskimo said. It's a stronger headset for not much more weight, basically. In the office 'First to fit a Ti SL freewheel race', Ali just won by what will probably end up being about 24 hours. Adam officially counted himself out of the race, saying he was going off to Rileys to play some snooker on his own to "Stop [himself] putting loads of pieces of Ti I don't need on my bike". eskimo
Tarty be building a non-steel bike? That's everything now isn't it? Expect bearings and freewheel internals? Oh and chain of course.

Leistonbmx
But you're already there if you're using that ti freewheel.

Mark W
Deng's 2011 stuff is slowly appearing. Unfortunately, no word on frames yet... Anyways, here are the updated TR/SL Platforms (30g lighter than last years, but with the supporting struts front and rear), and the updated TR Cage pedals. CalopS
whats changed for the caged pedals? Is the body any stronger?
Mark W
They're slightly shorter, so hopefully it should put less twisting/battering force through the bodies. In other news: TR 135mm disc hubs.
Scott Gibbs
Why oh why wont dent put those pretty colours on to their hubs? Adam, Mark do you guys know if they will have all 14 colours avaliable on the Urban, TR and SL 24" rims this year? Rather than black or white.
AdamR28
Because it's a NIGHTMARE for stock Urban rims are discontinued; SL now only available in Black, White, Silver; TR rims are now the only ones in loads of colours.
Revolver
If only I didn't buy a tartybikes super exclusive special hope team edition green pro II trials... then I could have pimp coloured echo rims! Damn 36 hole hub...
Scott Gibbs
I guess stocking lots of kit can be confusing!! So i can now purchase coloured 24" echo TR's?
