Jitters
Give it a few days to heal proper. Continue to wear gloves and if calluses form, keep them ground down with a nail file or soak your hand in warm water for a while and use a razor to carefully remove the extra skin. If you ride a lot, you may have to do this once a week. Hope that helps. Search for this topic too, probably lots of extra advice about that here somewhere. 2sixstreet
Cut it away, keep it dry and keep riding, it should toughen up and stay that way. Someone had some super glue on a ride which I used to glue a blister down and it was fine.
Ash-Kennard
that was why super glue was designed. to glue wounds together in the war
Trials Punk
I tend not to ride with gloves, and as a result I've got hard calluses which no longer hurt when riding. Its alright, just try not to carress a womens face with your palm, they might think your a lumber jack or something.
liam-pantera
not sure which part of your hand your talking about but after long periods of time calluses (sp) develop on the hand which are just hardened lumps of skin and you will feel the pain less and less , i used to freak people out at school by sticking pins into it
Trials Punk
Also, when I used to wear gloves I found that the pain was alot greater as the calluses never seemed to develop fully. Not nice without gloves in the winter though.........
Echo-Scott
i used to freak people out at school by sticking pins into it Best thing about them. People think your cool when you can stick a pin through your hand and not feel it

Stevie
Know what you mean, like right at the bottom of your fingers. I've got them and as i've rode some form of 2 wheeled vehicle for like 6 years straight they have become really hard, only advice i can give you is dont pick them and just let them do there thing naturally, carry on riding and try your best to forget about them

chris4stars
well...i have pretty tough hands anyway (most regular gym goers will know what i mean), but at work inparticular we use tons of alcohol gel (same stuff in hospitals etc) and it works a treat for toughening up any bits of skin try it

At first they'll hurt like mad, but just ride through the pain(maybe not as much riding as usual though) and they'll just harden up and you'll stop feeling them! robotrhys
I'd use some savlon spray, germolene or some other antiseptic cream. I don't get blisters as bad now because i have calluses where i used to get them and have just bought softer grips which should help.
