Jake.
I'm currently after a new stem, and before I purchase a new one I wanted to ask you guys... How does the length of the stem affect things? How does the angle of the stem affect things? Any recommended stems? Fast replies would be nice, cheers

Ullapool Trials Rider
Higher angled stems put your centre of gravity back, making the front easier to lift. Lower stems make the rear wheel easier to control once you are on the back wheel. Some recommended stems that i have used are: Try-All NUC, Try-All Oversized, Trialtech Race, V!Z Welded, Trialtech Sport,

Jake.
Thats alright mate Just one more question, out of all the stems you've used, which was your favorite and why? I'm considering getting V!Z Welded.
Ullapool Trials Rider
Just one more question, out of all the stems you've used, which was your favorite and why? I'm considering getting V!Z Welded. Definitely the Try-All NUC. But it does cost £55 with the sloping top cap. The V!Z welded stem is fine. It feels nice and you can get a similar shape to the Try-All NUC. So if you want the V!Z stem then get it. It is cheap, comes in a variety of sizes and looks pretty good. Alternitively you could get the Trialtech Sport forged.
Jake Beach
Get a Trialtech race, mine is really good, its slightly longer and heavier than the Sport but its £5 cheaper.

Jake.
Thanks for all your comments guys, the stems I'm considering are : V!Z Forged OR Welded (Tell me what you think is better and why) Try-All 3D Forged with Top Cap (Maybe a little too expensive for first time trying a different stem) Trialtech Race OR Sport Forged (Which is better and why?) I'm probably going to go for a long and low stem, or a short and low stem. Ask me any questions you feel is required to find out any more info which will help me decide, thanks!
