its best to start on a 20 inch because its easier to ride/chuck around the place

keep looking for a 26 any how?

No problem with what you are saying mate, but if it feels too small for him he obs nedd to get a 26",and persides it would make his riding better if he was more comfortable with it. <_<

And I will keep my eye out for a 26" for you.

Ebay and here are the best and really only places to for 2nd hand trials bikes. You can still look at the forsale section and can get in touch with people away from the forum.

300-400 should get you a pretty decent bike, trials bikes no matter what spec don't really sell for much over 500.

Problem is you do tend to find that people will split bikes up into their parts rather than sell it as a whole.

well had a quick go on a mates echo 20" and felt totally diferent to mine, frames are only slightly difenet in length but feel miles apart. think im going to look out for a long 20" or a 24"/26". thanks for the replys guys ive seen a fair few over the past month but by the time ive read up on the bikes they have gone lol. im totally new to this so i want to buy a decent bike first time round rather then upgrading over the year. is there anyone in surrey whos riding still as id love to get into it but as with most things i doubt il progress unless i ride with people who can B) il keep checking ebay and here, theres been a few on here for sale but it wont let me contact the member by message etc, i must be hounest me and a few others wanting to get into trials sort of gave up trying a while back on here as not being able to access bits is a tad annoying, sadly they havent bothered with trials which is a shame, i understand people moan about it but surely you should be able to send a pm? if theres a bike for sale on here how do i get in contact with the seller?, all the best

=] m8 my 1st bike was a onza bird, it was too small for me but i kept on ridein to learn the basics, pedle kick, side drops, track stand all them kinds things, after 3 months i got myself a neon conjoured 26" and im improved soooooo much on the 1st day i had it, i dident hav ethe confidence to do double pedle stroke on my 20" because i dident trust the bike but now i have this new 26" that ive had for about 3 months now im jumpin 6 pallets to back wheel :) ( Just saying dont stop ridein that 20" keep ridein it until you find what your looking for, that 20" will help u learn alot :) )

ive no one to ride trials with at moment so cant really progress as dont know what half them moves are haha. i hear what your saying but the 20" ive got feels weird, same height stem and bars as my mates but frames are diff lengths hes being tad bigger then mine. when the bike doesnt feel right you dont get confidence to try stuff, well im speaking from downhill and bmx point of view think i need to try a few out but a quick ride around on my mates and it felt rite straight away, ok hes is a good spec like king/tryall parts but i dont mind paying for a decent one if its gona helo me learn better etc. hopefully il get a bike sorted soon then hook up for some street riding as theres no one around here so imay have to venture out in the van lol.

Hey man, Things take time, just give it a while. Ive had the same problem before and i just keep at it. It will start to feel right you just need to get used to it!

If it feels too short maybe try a longer/lower stem?

What stem are you running?

Hope ive helped! :)

hi guys thanks for the replies, ive seen them mad ones and they look and feel cheap imo, i want a decent one like zoo, czar, echo, onza, koxx as im old and in my midlife crisis stage and find i break cheap things in the hobbies ive tried lol. im totally new to trials, im still learning to get it up on the back wheel and get my balance etc etc, ive had years of downhill and motox so not used to slow and technicall attitude, more flat out and hope for the best hahaha. ive tried a few diff bar and stem combos now but the bike just doesnt feel right, im going to look out for a 24/26" i think, although the 20 is easy to move about i dont feel comfy so never gonna progress i think, ive got around £400 quid in cash here for a bike now so as soon as one comes up near me im on it in a flash lol. seen a fair few nice ones but there all miles away up north. seen a few decent make and spec 26" aroud for this amount so i guess just a case of waiting for one, then i need to hook up with some riders in my area as i need to learn the basics first. some of you guys have a lot of skill on here (Y)
