Help Me

So basically i orderded new stem, bars and forks for my onza blade, i got them today and started to fit them, but, when i removed the stem and forks my headset kinda apart in my hands and i have no idea how to put it back together. I have the headcap, a small ruber washer, slightly bigger metal washer and a metal ring. You proberbl have no idea what im on about but any websites/videos or anything that can help?

i didn't order new headset im using the one that came on the bike, i had a look on the wiki and found about replacing a headset but dosent really say how to put it together :ermm: might be a case of trial and error but don't want to break anything :S

Right, varies from headset to headset depending on quality. From what i can see in a pic of a standard blade, you have a standard aheadset. On your old fork you will have a lower headset raced pressed onto it, remove that using a hammer and screwdriver, knocking around the circumference gently, dont hit the same area all the time as it wont come off and you will damage the race, also make sure you dont hit where the bearings make contact as this will make the headset feel rough when reassembled. Once the race is off, get your new forks and slide the race on, you will then need to tap it onto the bottom of the steerer (itll be thicker there and so gentle taps again until its on). I use a headtube off a bike that used 1inch forks to tap my races on, it works nicely :)
