Revolver
Heh, when I said 24" bb rise, i meant, the BB rise that the 24" frame has. That's the risk, though. obviously 50mm bb rise is high on a stock, but it might be ok on a 24" frame, but there aren't any for anyone to know. Matt Burrows
I think you missed my first point slightly. I wasn't referring to 24" BB rise, I was asking why would you take 15mm from the height to compare it to a stock. A 24" bike sits 1" lower than a stock, so surely you would take 25mm off the height to compare it? I don't understand where you got 15mm from
Revolver
Aaah, right. We're told that +35mm on a 24" equals +10 on a stock, so +15 is the difference. Or not, as it turns out. Lol, it's +25, you're right.
rupintart
I always think the best bikes are the ones that easiest to move around, not just the one that feels the nicest on back wheel etc Isn't that kinda the point with TGS? That's comfy on the rear wheel? And if it's comfy on the rear wheel, it's easier to move about on as far as TGS goes.
Revolver
Naah, cause you can have a bike that's easy on the back wheel but feels like a barge otherwise. That would be a bike with a long front and short back end.
JT!
Do you have inside information? Nah i just think 2010 is the year of the 24" TGS frames. There's already Onza who could be releasing one pretty soon and the one that's out in Feb, and they're the ones we actually know about. manuel
i think 2010 is the year of people working out that 24" TGS frames are completely pointless and a waste of money.
Revolver
NONSENSE! If TGS 24" frames are a waste of money, then what do you ride if stocks are too big and mods are too small?
Ali C
get a shorter stock

That's what they said about 24" street bikes. ...OH WAIT!

Revolver
any short deng frames The short echo pure looks nice. I'd like to have a go on one Maybe you can sway me.

Matt Burrows
High BB makes for great backhopping, but is harder for taps?
Matt Vandart
get a shorter stock See you would think that that would make sense but it doesn't work, for me anyway.

Maybe I'm missing something? I ride tgs and I care how it rides on two wheels...you seem to have missed that
Revolver
I much like the idea of using 2 wheels where possible, and only relying on backwheel moves when you must, really. Something like that. Using 2 wheels more definately saves energy

Revolver
Heh, well, if it doesn't I'm changing to stock, probably next year.
Scott Gibbs
I hope this thread has acted like a signal fire to the companies of trials Onza already know. Several riders including myself have asked for a limey3 24 so there well aware of it. Dunno about others though.
Matt Vandart
This thread is so stupid. I buy a bike, I ride it everywhere
JT!
This thread is so stupid. I buy a bike, I ride it everywhere That comment is so stupid. This thread is a discussion about specific riding and bikes designed for that specific riding. If there wasn't this kind of discussion we'd all be riding trials on modified mountain bikes still rather than trials specific parts. Gazza
main point for me, there's no testing You can try your friends' frames, see what you like and dislike, then we can make up something that suits you. Easy. But I know what you mean
