16 years later
Right oh, need a new TV for the sitting room and need some advice. Only got about £200 to £250, i know it’s not much for a TV these days, but that’s all i have. Could maybe stretch a tiny bit over if its much better.I think I've found quite a good one? a Samsung P2370HD http://www.dixons.co.uk/martprd/store/dix_...mp;source_id=aw And what Samsung have to say about it >> http://www.samsung.com/us/consumer/office/...il&tab=specOr i was looking at just the P2370 no HD but the HD scored better in reviews.Basically can you please help me to buy a good TV for the sitting room that's around 22" 23" and costs around £200 to £250.Thanks you very muchly for you advice. Danny
Tesco are advertising a 32 incher for £300. A bargain for the money really even if it is an el cheapo brand.22-23" is a tad small for a living room surely?

I was looking at a 26"er which would be nice. I think 22" to 26" would be just fine really.

Mark W
Me 'n' Ali managed to get a 32" TV off eBay for about £100, with us picking it up. It's a couple-of-years-old Phillips or Sony that used to be about £2k or so - picture quality is amazing even though it's a bit older now, the surround sound wireless speakers are great, and in general it's amazing. Definitely worth checking out the Bay before you go high street, there were about 3 or 4 really tempting offers out there when we were looking, but we went for the first one 'cos we needed one ASAP. You can pick up CRTs for pennies nowadays, we got a 32" for £50. Its a beast, but we only need it for a few more months. If it was LCD for £100 that sounds like a bargain! Can't really go wrong with a samsung LCD
Mark W
Yeah, CRT. Our living room's pretty big so it's not a problem.
Krisboats
Any particular reason for such a small size? If it's a cost thing a 32" can be had brand new for around £280-300 by the likes of LG and SAMSUNG etc.http://www.google.co.uk/products?hl=en&...=N&start=60If it's definately a 22-23" you want i'd recommend this one. I have the slightly bigger pc monitor equivalent and the screen itself is gorgeous.Currys also have the january sale on with some very nice reductions. You could always pop in and get a 24month payment option which means you can pay the whole amount off within 12 months without incurring interest. Just pay the amount off you have aside now and then you have up to 12 months to pay off the remaining amount (which could be £50-100 over 12 months). 16 years later
Thanks for all the help guys. Ended up going for the Samsung I said about, well let you know what it's like.Any particular reason for such a small size?We just don't really want a big telly. The one we have now is 21.5inch which suits the room and us just fine. Edited December 30, 2009 by 16 years later
