Need Some Opinions/reviews

The Rockman Bars look really nice and aren't too expensive. But as many people say Trialtech bars are probably best. But i still prefer Rage Bars.

I'm new to the use of Risers. But from looking at both the products (rockman and Trialtech) it says they both have a 10 degree up sweep and down sweep. So are they the same geometry?

Yes in terms of rise they are. But the Trialtech bars are 740mm and the Rockman bars are 720mm. Longer bars supposedly give you better bike control.

Oh right, thank you very much :)

For an extra £5 I don't think 2cm is going to make that much of a difference!

Well I have tried Trialtech bars and they feel pretty good. Still, I am sticking with my decision that Rage bars are the best. But the majority of users on this forum will tell you to get Trialtech bars. So its a majority verdict, get some Trialtech's. (Y)

That stem's 20mm shorter that the one you were going to get - it'd be worth bearing in mind as it's going to make your front end feel shorter/lower! If that's your bag though, then 'ave it.

With the bars, the 20mm extra will change the feel, just 'cos where you hold it is going to end up being a bit higher than the Rockman bars. The Rockmans feel super good though, I was tempted to get some for my mod before I got bullied into buying some other bars. Stan's got them on his 24 and they feel good, and we've built a few bikes with the Rockmans on. If I was still running my Trialtechs on my mod I'd probably trim them down a bit 'cos they feel a little too wide for my liking, so I guess they'd equate to what the Rockman bars are like anyway.

Ooopps! I meant this stem: http://www.tartybikes.co.uk/product.php?pr...;category_id=29.

(I have to make sure I select the right one when I get around to buying all the items now). I feel like i'm draining you of all your advice but could you tell me about this stem :)

To be honest there's not much to tell - Dave doesn't make shit products, basically :P All the Trialtech stems are pretty awesome, mine was fine when I ran it. We've had no problems with people breaking them or anything like that, they're just good quality stems (Y)

ah thank you very much :)

I think that nearly all the products in my first post have changed now (shows how much I know). And I shall be ordering all of the new parts from Tarty on the 11th. Now I just need to pray that there is stock :giggle:

Stock levels are live on the site now, so if you're going to call up you could always check to make sure what you want is in stock first. That way, if it's out of stock you get a bit more time to look at what else you might want, rather than having to rush it on the phone (Y)

Ok will do, they all say 'In Stock' at the moment so il just hope it stays that way until the 11th. Thank you again for your help Mark :)

I just showed my mum what im hoping to buy, her reaction was 'if there's nothing wrong with it, then don't change it' so now im only getting:

Brake Pads

Chain

Grips

Pedals

So now, the last piece of advice im going to need from this thread is 'What Grip's should I buy?' Ever since I started trials I have always used rubber grips, and I find nothing wrong with them. But now im thinking of switching to foam grips. All opinions and advice are helpful :)

Tell your mum I said she's talking shit. :P

I told her that one of the guys from Tartybikes recommended me all the parts. She gave me a blank expression and carried on her argument that 'if there's nothing wrong with it, then don't change it'

You said you wanted to change from rubber grips to rubber grips?

Did I? :shifty:
