Ullapool Trials Rider
Stem:Fine if you are ok to fitting riser bars to a 2 bolt stemBars: Definitely get some risers. Something like Trialtech bars are reasnobley priced and perform well.Pedals: My DMR V8's have lost many grub screws so try some Trialtech Race platform pedalsChain: This chain is fine but I would strongly suggest a Trialtech Lite chain.Pads: If you have a medium grind, definitely get the brown Try-All Croco's. But if you have a light grind then the red or yellow Croco's are probably best.Hope this helps. Sorry about lots of the above being to do with Trialtech, but Trialtech do quality parts at a reasnoble price.

Guest
id say go for the trialtech pedals the pedals look horribly tacky from the picture, or is that just me? Also, I was preferably looking for red pedals I would go for the trial tech lite chain its cheaper and miles better in my opinion.http://www.tartybikes.co.uk/product.php?pr...p;category_id=7This may be a silly question, but one I don't know: On all the chain products they have a number e.g 3/32" or 1/8" What is the difference between these? and would the Trialtech lite fit a t-pro. Sorry that my Trials knowledge isnt great. Edited December 27, 2009 by alextheferret

Stevie
Everyones advising you to get risers and you still decide to get flats I would still recommend risers, more comforable and more adjustable. On top of that i personally think they look better

Mark W
The 610 (or 'Lite') will fit your bike fine. I'm running one of my mod at the mo, and Ad's is running one on his too. You shouldn't have any hassle, and they're great chains! They stretch quite a bit less than the 710 or 810 chains, so they should last you a bit longer even though they theoretically have a lower breaking point. For bars, I really can't recommend risers highly enough. They're way more comfortable to use for a start, make your bike feel a lot better, and you can really tweak them to get a better feel. With flat bars, there's not really much tweaking that can be done because they just become really uncomfortable, but with risers you can move them around a lot more and still have them feel good. If you click onto the media guides on our site, Adam does one about bars that'll show what I mean about the bar angle. It's definitely worth checking out, and I'd really recommend the Trialtech bars or any of the other risers you can afford. The Wingbars are a little narrower, but should be fine for a mod if you can't stretch your budget too much. There's not really much wrong with that stem either - I'm not really keen on the looks of it at all, and with that style of clamping it's a little harder to get risers in, but if the geometry is right for you then it's probably worth a pop.For the pedals, the Trialtech Race Platforms are about a quid cheaper, but the pins should last a bit longer than the DMRs. On the DMRs, they're just screw in grub-screws, but on the TT pedals they're proper beasty screw-in-from-the-bottom ones so they should withstand trials abuse a bit better. For the brake pads, pretty much the entire range of Try-All pads work well - just look at the guide on the site to see what sort of use you're going to be giving them, then get the correct set for your needs
Guest
Wow, thank you very very much for all the information, tis very helpful. You mentioned the DMR Wingbar, but would it be worth buying this instead: http://www.tartybikes.co.uk/product.php?pr...category_id=138 I will definitely get the Trialtech pedals (they are alot lighter aswell!) and the Trialtech Chain. Thank you again!
